I have always been interested in language, and how our brain processes it. During my Research Master in Cognitive Neuroscience, I completed a research internship within the Leeswinst and Leeskans projects, where my interest in children’s reading development began. For my master’s thesis internship, I worked at the University of Pavia (Italy) using neurostimulation (tACS and tDCS) to study musical pleasure.

I am currently a joint PhD candidate at Hasselt University and in this research group. My project focuses on predictors of early school delay. I combine brain and behavioural measures of attention with gamified learning tasks to investigate how dynamic learning processes shape children’s diverse school trajectories. I examine the predictive value of these new measures and study how teachers use them in practice.
