Check out our new review article summarising how learning to read changes the way our brains respond to speech and text and reorganises the way different brain areas communicate to one another. In this article we give an overview of the brain and behavioural changes that evolve during reading acquisition and provide suggestions for future studies.

We recently published an fMRI paper from the Leeswisnt project exploring changes in brain activation during letter-speech mapping over a three year period in children without dyslexia. A new publication Project Leeswinst

We recently published the first fMRI findings of Project Leeswinst data showing brain activation differences in children with and without dyslexia while performing the ‘aba’ ‘ada’ task in the MRI scanner. We show that behaviourally, all children perform the task similarly but that there is a difference in brain activation, with children with dyslexia
